FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS
 
There is an increasing demand for integration between solid modeling and FEA analysis across many industries, primarily with the goal to enhance and create more accurate designs, gain better insight into critical design parameters, shorten the design cycle, and increase productivity. RAND’s Finite Element Analysis team offers more than 25 years of combined FEA experience and is well versed in the various facets of analytical and numerical techniques for solving critical engineering problems to help meet these goals:

Structural Analysis
We evaluate the structural performance of systems and components subjected to static and dynamic loads through the following simulation types:

  • Structural and thermal stress analysis
  • Natural vibrations analysis
  • Vibration/Frequency response analysis
  • Buckling/Instability analysis
  • Fatigue analysis
  • Transient dynamic/time response analysis
  • Random response analysis
Thermal Analysis
RAND calculates temperature and heat flux fields in systems and components subjected to heating or cooling through steady state and transient thermal analysis.

Engineering Optimization
Our team will also work with you to perform an optimization exercise for your systems and components to improve performance, reduce weight, control vibrations and increase your product safety margins.

Multi-Parametric Design Studies
RAND’s FEA team will also conduct multi-parametric design studies in order to enrich your engineer’s knowledge of:

  • Design parameters most influential to the impact on the performance of your designs
  • Predict how and which design parameters should be changed to achieve certain objectives
  • How design parameters interact
