Green Design: Sustainable Materials
Think green by considering sustainability early in your design process:
- Does my design contain toxic materials?
- Is it made of recyclable materials?
- What is its carbon footprint?
The Sustainable Materials Assistant for Inventor helps you make responsible material choices that can reduce the product's environmental impact -- while still meeting performance requirements.
The Assistant is available now from Autodesk Labs and adds these features:
Inventor's materials library has new fields for adding sustainability properties.
Sustainability reports analyze and document the environmental impact of selected materials
Calculate the carbon footprint of the entire design.
You can download the Sustainable Materials Assistant and training materials at no charge from www.rand.com/imaginit/sustainablematerials

Certified
Hardware Database Updated
Autodesk regularly tests graphics boards to ensure they do an excellent
job of displaying your 3D models. The database of supported
graphics boards has been updated. You may need to check
it out if:
- Your computer has new graphics hardware.
- A new driver is available for the graphics
board.
- The status of the graphics card has changed,
such as from Supported to Certified.
- Autodesk or the graphics hardware vendor has
resolved issues with the graphics hardware.
The current version of the Hardware Certification
Database is 17.2.0.3. If your copy of the database
is older, then you should download the update.
