Students will learn how to: identify Land Desktop Features and set up preferences, set up a drawing and manage the project environment. You will also learn to create a legal survey plans, conceptual plans, topographic survey drawings, layout subdivision roadways, size subdivision lots and generate alignment stakeout reports. This Land Fundamentals course provides the required foundation for our Civil Design or survey courses.

Prerequisites: Before starting this course, students should be able to use AutoCAD® software to:

• Create, open, and save drawing files.
• Change the display of a drawing by zooming and panning.
• Display and dock toolbars.
• Save and restore named views.
• Use object snaps.
• Manage layers and control layer visibility.
