ASCENT’s New Autodesk Revit 2022: Fundamentals for Interior Design Guide Completes Autodesk 2022 Release Roadmap

ASCENT meets the demand with its newest Revit title: Autodesk Revit 2022: Fundamentals for Interior Design.

ASCENT- Center for Technical Knowledge continues to meet the demand from Autodesk Training Centers, universities, corporations and individuals for improved learning content with its newest Revit title: Autodesk Revit 2022: Fundamentals for Interior Design.

Comprehensive and detailed, this learning guide provides interior designers with learning content for Revit that is uniquely tailored for them. The guide uses a multi-use building to take users through the interior design process to complete a project using Autodesk Revit. It also covers other topics that are particularly useful for interior designers, such as how to create and apply materials to elements and how to enhance a view and produce realistic renderings for your designs.

“With the addition of this new Interior Design guide, we now have a seventh Revit fundamentals-focused learning guide to round out our collection of guides for all Autodesk Revit users,” says Paul Burden, director of product development, ASCENT. “This guide joins our Revit Architecture, Structure, MEP, Residential Design, Project Managers, and Landscape Design learning guides. Autodesk Revit users and, in particular, instructors of the software, can find all the necessary learning content in ASCENT’s library of Revit titles, and feel confident knowing that each guide is written in a consistent format with plenty of hands-on exercises to reinforce the concepts taught.”

Highlights of topics covered within the 18 chapters include:

  • Understanding building information modeling (BIM) and how it is applied in Autodesk Revit
  • Working with basic sketching and modifying tools to create accurate interior design models
  • Starting an interior design project, which includes setting up levels and creating plan views
  • Creating materials and applying them to elements in a project
  • Creating and displaying design options for a project
  • Rendering views that include materials, lighting and other enhancements
  • Setting up sheets, annotating views and creating interior design details

View our on-demand webcast hosted by author Cherisse Biddulph, where she discusses the new guide’s focus on interior design and development.

Orders for both the learning guide and instructor guide, available in print and eBook versions, can be placed through the ASCENT website.
